Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman as described by many as an administrative wizard and radical reformer has continued to display uncommon leadership dexterity and readiness towards socio-human empowerment across the board. This of course, remains an in-built features of him as a public service personnel thereby earning him the following commendations. He had ‘No’ record of query all through his public service career from the University of Ilorin, the Kogi State University, Anyigba and now to Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.
1. Letter of Commendation dated 14th September, 2014 from the Governing Council of Kogi State University, Anyigba as Member of the 5-Man e-Examination Team that deployed and successfully domesticated for the University, locally made e-examination platform with internally generated resources, under the Chairmanship of Professor M.S. Audu.
2. Letter of Commendation dated 21st September, 2015 from the Head, Department of Political Science, Kogi State University, Anyigba for positive contributions as Examination Officer in the aspect of documentation, smooth administration of examinations and prompt computation of results for Senate approval.
3. Letter of Appreciation dated 5th August, 2016 from the Vice Chancellor, Kogi State University, Anyigba for loyalty to the University, diligence, steadfastness and dedication to duty as Dean of Students’ Affairs.
4. Letter of Commendation dated 17th June, 2022 from the Governing Council of the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja for prudent management of scarce resources leading to the one hundred per cent full accreditation results of thirty (30) programmes by the NBTE, proactive security strategies leading to improved security of lives and property of both staff and students and networking with relevant government agencies for funding, leading to expansion of physical facilities on the campus.
Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman successfully influenced Two (2) units of boreholes to his immediate communities in Angwa Ogebe and environ. He also facilitated the construction of a block of classrooms for Angwa Ogebe Primary School in Ankpa Local Government Area, Kogi State.
He employed hundreds of youths from across the 21 Local Government Areas of the state, an effort towards rebuilding the NewKogi of our collective dreams with barest rate of social vices tied to unemployment and underemployment in the state. These are verifiable pieces of information.
To water the flowers to blossoms seemlessly and effortlessly, the service of Chief Dr Salisu Ogbo Usman is obviously needed.
This is the man His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello described as the “Poster Boy” of his new Direction Administration, and at another level, His Excellency described him as the “Special One”.
