It’s a sad thing to say the least to hear the fake news going on around the media space especially the various social media platforms about the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi as occasioned by the self-sponsored fourth columnist.
The writer accused our illustrious son of sexual scandal and drunkenness but no pictorial evidence to support their claims. This singular act make the whole story meaningless, useless, and childish.
We are using this medium to call on our dear Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi that he should not be distracted by the “barks of the dogs”. When the going is tough, the tough gets going.The building is already on a solid rock. The record are showing that he has fulfilled good percentage of his mission and mission of the university within the first year in office and it’s a threat to the enemies of progress of the university.
Okun people especially Ijumu people are solidly behind PRof. Akinwumi. He is our pride. We are proud of him and his numerous achievements so far as the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja. No weapon fashioned against him shall prosper. History is in the making.
May Almighty God continue to guide him and lead him throughout his tenure. Amen.
