The Deputy Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Ahmad Mohammed Ahmad, has described the pace of growth and development at the Prime Polytechnic Jidan Bassa as outstanding.
Hon. Ahmad gave the commendation at the 2019/2020 matriculation of 383 Students of the Prime Polytechnic Jidan Bassa, said he is amazed at the standard and facilities at the Polytechnic.
He urged the Proprietor of the Institution, Bishop Emeka Anierobi, to remain focused and committed, assuring him of the support of the Kogi State House of Assembly.
The Deputy Speaker described Technology, Technology and Vocational Education an area of specialization of the Prime Polytechnic Jidan Bassa as the way to go, praised the Institution for the foresight.
He called on the matriculating Students to see the opportunity as one that should make them self reliant, says the era when graduates rely on white collar jobs is long gone, urged them to acquire the needed skills to be able to be self reliant.
The Deputy Speaker lauded the efforts of the present administration in the state to repositioning Education, commended Prime Polytechnic Jidan Bassa for keying into the self reliant Educational policies of Gov. Yahaya Bello.
Earlier in a remarks, the Proprietor of the Institution, Bishop Emeka Anierobi said Prime Polytechnic Jidan Bassa is committed to empowering graduates with skills, says the curriculum is targeted towards making graduates self reliant upon graduation.
Present at the matriculation was the representative of the Head of Service, Commissioner for Education, the Olu OGORI-MAGONGO, amongst several other dignitaries.
Highlights of the matriculation was the administering of oath on the 383 matriculating students.
