The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro PhD, on Sunday, 22nd December, 2024 gifted cars to the nine local government PDP chairmen in Zone C and the State Women Leader, Hon. (Mrs) Alice Albert.
While presenting the keys to the beneficiaries, Senator Moro said the cars were to ease their movements in running the affairs of the party at the local government levels and mobilization of women. He said he would continue to support the party and its leaders for optimal performances and effectiveness.
In the same vein and in the spirit of the season, the Senate Minority Leader shared over 40,000 bags of rice, goats, chickens and other items worth hundreds of millions to constituents.
In his address, Senator Moro said the food items and cash donations were his contributions to enable his constituents celebrate Christmas well with their families. He said his constituents in all the nooks and crannies of the senatorial district, irrespective of their political party, must benefit from the items. He charged those who collected the items from Otukpo on behalf of their local government areas and council wards to ensure fair distribution across board, up to each polling unit and to everyone.
Senator Moro who was, on Saturday, conferred with the chieftaincy title of Akiriga (Gateway) of Obi LGA, by Adutu Obi, HRH Chief Dr Chris Ijale, in recognition of his contributions to the development of Benue South, assured that he would continue to support individuals, families, groups and communities for the actualization of their dreams and aspirations.
