The cold war in Danki Royal Family, has been put to rest, following the internal reconciliation initiated by the Danki Royal Forum which culminated at a meeting held on Saturday 30th January, 2021 at the Palace of His Royal Highness ,Mallam Muhammad Sanni ,the Agankyu Kakanda land, in Budan, Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State.
There had been internal royal squabble within the family of Danki Royal Dynasty, following the emergence of the current Agankyu of Kakanda Land from the Etsu Nmadu family.
The other family members had frowned against the selection process that led to the emergence of the Royal father leading to non
participation in the affairs of the Chiefdom.
However, the internal wrangling has finally been put to rest as the Danki Royal Forum led by its Chairman, Mallam Atahiru Ibrahim former Ag.Head of National Health Insurance Scheme(NHIS) paid reconciliatory visit to the Agankyu.
Speaking on behalf of the Forum, the Registrar, Kogi State Sharia Court of Appeal, Mallam Muhammad Bello said the Royal families have resolved to bury their differences in line with the believe that it is Allah alone who decides who emerges as King. Therefore, all that happened in the past should be left behind in order to forge ahead towards the development of Danki and Kakanda land in general.
Mallam Bello who is also the Treasurer of the forum, said Danki Royal family have resolved to work with the Agankyu to ensure the success of his reign in a way that will be beneficial to Kakanda land and humanity in general.
He said the Royal Forum which the Agankyu belongs to, will always provide positive advices and guardian to the throne.
“What has happened in the past should be put behind us so that we forge ahead. We want to urge His Royal Highness to always consult the family before taking any vital decision.”
“We will always come around you as brothers and sisters to ensure that your throne succeeds. This time around we will cooperate with you and ensure that your exalted position is accorded the respect it deserves” he added.
In a similar vein, the Financial Secretary of the forum, Dr.Aminu Isa enumerated the objectives of the forum to include unity and putting in place social economic framework for the empowerment of the family.
In his response, the Agankyu of Kakanda Land, HRH. Mallam Muhammad Sanni, described the reconciliatory meeting as noble, adding that he had never been this happy and comfortable.
The Royal Highness, who could not hold his emotions, said he has always been feeling lonely when his brothers and sisters were not around him.
He said the reconciliation will further gear him towards providing good leadership to the Kakanda Land, adding that he has finally got the backing of his Danki brothers.
“Today is the day I craved since I ascended this throne. It hurts me badly when I look around, I did not see my family around. I always felt empty with your absence.”
” I want to give all the glory to Almighty Allah for this day, a day of rejuvenation, a day when Allah has finally answer my prayer, a day that I’m finally convinced that I have the backing of my immediate family as the Agankyu of Kakanda Land.”
“I want to assure you all that I will never do anything that will be outside you all my brothers and sisters,” he added.
The delegation which comprises of prominent Danki sons and daughters from all walk of life includes, Mallam Idris Abdullahi, Mallam Abdulrasheed M Saba, Mallam Gambo Mohammed, Alhaji Umaru Bako and others.
