CUSTECH Osara Sanctions Five Students Over Misconduct, Expels Four
The Confluence University of Science and Technology, CUSTECH, Osara, has expelled four students and rusticated one other following disciplinary actions taken by the university Senate.
The decisions were reached at the Senate’s 30th Regular Meeting held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, after the Students’ Disciplinary Committee submitted its findings.
According to separate letters signed by the Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs, Mr. Eli Usman Gbadafu, the sanctions take immediate effect.
Two 200-level female students were expelled for involvement in lesbianism. Another student was expelled for physical assault and stabbing a fellow student, while a fourth was expelled for cloning and circulating pictures of two female students without consent. A fifth student received a one-semester rustication for fighting and physical assault.
The Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, FNSE, commended the disciplinary committee for conducting a thorough investigation. He said the university remains committed to producing graduates grounded in both academic excellence and sound character, adding that management will not compromise on discipline.
The affected students and their offences are:
1. *Ezekiel Precious Omeneke* – 200-level Economics. Expelled for lesbianism.
2. *Aku Joy Chinyere* – 200-level Accounting. Expelled for lesbianism.
3. *Musa Abdulhakeem Onimisi* – 200-level Petroleum and Gas Engineering. Expelled for physical assault and stabbing a student.
4. *Dominion Kolade A.* – 200-level Physiotherapy. Expelled for cloning pictures of two female students.
5. *Agbakaru Kosikochukwu* – 200-level Radiography. Rusticated for one academic session for physical assault.
The university said the actions align with its policy of upholding discipline and protecting the welfare of students.
