A High Court sitting in Lokoja has granted an order of interim injunction restraining Kingsley Temitope Ogga from parading himself as the chairman, African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kogi State chapter.
The court upon hearing from J.T Elijah counsel for the applicants, Adaji John Udale and African Democratic Party, gave the restraining order in a suit filed in the court.
In the order dated 12th April, 2023 by the court under the presiding judge, Justice Sulyman Abdullahi, a copy of which was made available to The Guardian yesterday (Friday) the court said it granted the order because Kingsley Temitope Ogga had lost his membership in the party and he is no longer a member of the party.
“An Order of Interim Injunction is granted restraining the defendant Kingsley Temitope Ogga from parading himself as the Kogi state Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) having lost his membership of the party pending the hearing and determination of originating motion already filled in this Honourable court”.
“Matter is adjourned to April 19, 2023 for hearing of motion on notice. It is so ordered”.
ADC won two House of Representatives and one House of Assembly seats in Kogi State in the February and March 2023 elections.
