The Yagba East Local Government Chairmanship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the forthcoming Council Polls in Kogi State on December 12th, Hon. Ishola Raphael Rotimi has said that he is still in the race.
Giving a swift response to a publication signed by Hon. Shola Adebola onbhehalf of the Party in Yagba Federal Constituency which states that Hon. Leke Abejide and other party Stakeholders has ratified that the party will not be participating in the elections.
Hon. Ishola said his decision is legal and biding by the law as he was officially screened by the ADC and allowed to contest by the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC).
He added that as a full card-carrying member of the party who has paid is due for the growth of the party in all ramifications, he will be going ahead to contest especially as he is assured of the support of the people, and he go ahead to represent the party on the ballot paper.
Meanwhile, the State party Chairman, Hon. Kingsley Ogga have said that individuals promoting the rumors have been going round to collect money on behalf of the ADC and want to discredit the good works of the party and Hon. Leke Abejide. Adding that the public should disregard the rumour as it is false, untrue and not real, he stressed that Hon. Shola Adebola doesn’t have any capacity to speak on behalf of the party.
The Chairman said Hon. Shola Adebola is on a sinister motive against the wish of the and growth of Yagba ADC, and as such cannot speak onbehalf of the stakeholders.
He averred that the party structure is 100% in support of her candidates and the people and stakeholders are with them all.
