A Message to the Good People of Kogi State, Particularly the People of Lokoja Local Government, Ahead of the October 19th, 2024 Local Government Election
Dear Fellow Citizens,
As we approach the forthcoming local government election on October 19th, 2024, I extend my warmest greetings to the good people of Kogi State, particularly the people of Lokoja Local Government. This election presents another opportunity for us to choose leaders who will steer the affairs of our communities and local government.
I urge all eligible voters to exercise their civic rights with utmost responsibility and commitment to peace. A peaceful election is the foundation of a thriving democracy, and it is only through peaceful participation that our voices can be truly heard. Therefore, I appeal to everyone to shun violence, resist the temptation to engage in any unlawful activities, and refuse to be used as instruments of disruption. Elections should be a time of unity, not division.
If you notice any abnormalities or suspicious activities, do not hesitate to report them to the relevant authorities. Your vigilance and cooperation will go a long way in ensuring that this election is free, fair, and credible.
Let us come together, united in purpose, to ensure that the October 19th election is a model of democracy in action.
