The Convener, Congress for Better Nigeria and the Legal Adviser, Yahaya Bello Network, Barr. Zaccaeus Dare Michael has sent a strong appeal, begging that the mother of the Kogi State Chief of Staff, Mama Seriya Raji, be released unconditionally.
Barr. Dare in a statement issued to Newsmen, disclosed that no blood is worth the life of anybody, appealed strongly to those who abducted the mother to the Kogi State Chief of Staff to temper Justice with mercy and release her or better still open up lines of communication that would lead to her release.
The Convener explained that no Political difference is worth the hostage taking of Mama Seriya Raji, said every difference can be settled without necessarily having to abduct an aged woman who is on medication.
Barr. Dare described Pharm Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku as a figure who loves humanity, disclosed that his efforts in Supporting people who are ill, almost on the verge of death, helping to bring them back to life through his support, is an eloquent testament to his personality, does not deserve this maltreatment.
The Convener prayed for God to touch the hearts of the abductors, said the support of the chief of staff in payment of school fees and award of scholarships to indigent student’s, speaks volumes of his person as one who doesn’t deserve the present treatment and predicament he’s made to go through.
Barr. Dare further notes with emphasis that in his two years as Chief of Staff, people who have been forgotten Political have through the efforts of Pharm Asuku, have been revived and given opportunities, appealed to those concern to please temper Justice with mercy, in the release of Mama Seriya unconditionally or to open up lines of communication.
The Convener prayed for God to touch the hearts of the abductors, heal their wounds of grievance, and have mercy on them to have a heart that would make them release Mama Seriya Raji.
He lamented that it is not easy for the CoS and many Nigerian’s who are related with him over the past weeks, holding Sensitive meetings in the interest of the State with his mother in captivity, begged those concerned, that no amount of blood and hostage taking is worth taken to settle Political scores.
Barr. Dare urged the abductors to put themselves in the shoes of the CoS, noting that it can be painful, psychologically demoralizing, traumatizing to have a mother in captivity, begged for the unconditional release of Mama Seriya or appealed to the abductors to open up lines of communication, prayed for God to meet them at the point of their grievances.
While he continue to urge the Chief of Staff to be hopeful as the prayers of the faithful would certainly lead to the return of his mother, expressed optimism that God in his infinite mercies will touch the hearts of the abductors to heed to the prayers and appeals of Nigerian’s for the release of Mama Seriya Raji.
