The Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Kogi State, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ijumu Local Government Area.
In a condolence statement issued through his Media Assistant, the Honourable Commissioner described the late APC Chairman’s demise as a heart-wrenching loss to the immediate family, the ruling APC family, and the broader political landscape of Kogi State.
Mukadam Asiru Idris commiserated with the APC executive committee in Ijumu LGA, the immediate family of the deceased, associates, and the entire people of Ijumu Local Government Area over the sad loss.
He lauded the late party leader as a steadfast, principled, and selfless administrator whose exceptional service and devotion to grassroots political development remained pivotal to party stability in the area.
“We received the news of the passing of our revered APC Chairman in Ijumu Local Government Area with deep pain. He was a dedicated leader whose vision, loyalty, and commitment to party cohesion left an indelible mark on our political family,” the statement read.
“On behalf of my family and retinue of my progressive friends, members and followers, I extend our heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, the leadership and members of the APC in Ijumu, and the good people of the area. This is a shared grief, and we stand with you during this dark hour.”
The Finance Commissioner urged the bereaved family and political associates to draw strength from the impactful life of dedicated service lived by the late party chairman. He further prayed that Almighty God grant the soul of the departed eternal rest and give those left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
