Comr. Ben Jerry Declares Intention To Contest National President Of NYCN

 

The Kogi State Chapter Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comr. Benjamin Ojodale Jeremiah has officially declared his intention to run for the National President of the Council.

Comr. Jerry made his intentions known at a critical stakeholders meeting of past leaders, made up of Comr. Haroun Opotu, Comr. Godwin SB Emmanuel, Comr. Bala, Comr. Israel Alonge, Comr. Mario and other critical stakeholders, said his desire to call for the stakeholders meeting was to brief them on his intention.

Comr. Jerry described the invited stakeholders as his strength, said the National Youth Council deserves a leadership that can rightly position the Council at the National level.

Comr. Jerry said Kogi State has never occupied the National Presidency of NYCN inspite of the vibrancy of the State Council, said with the office zoned to the North, urged for collaborative efforts, to enable Kogi State occupy the exalted office.

The Aspirant promised to revive NYCN at the National by changing the narratives to one of quality service delivery, promised not to disappoint the State Council if elected.

Comr. Jerry described the support and encouragement from outside the State thus far as commendable, promised to organize and lead the Youths of Nigeria outstandingly if elected to a promising future.

The NYCN State Chairman listed his numerous achievements as Chairman, mentioned that his tenure in the State saw to the improvement of infrastructure and human capital, promised to replicate same if elected at the National level.

In his remarks, Comr. Haroun Opotu, expressed optimism in the ability of Comr. Jerry to excel if elected, but urged him to intensify his reaching out, by asking for the youths of the State to support his ambition.

Other speakers including Comr. Fiki, Comr. Godwin SB Emmanuel, Comr. Bala, Comr. Alonge, Comr. Farouk, cautioned for a divided house, urged for a united front from the State by members in the task of seeking for the exalted seat of the National the President, wished Comr. Jerry well in his aspiration.

They stakeholders cautioned against campaign of calumny, advised for a wider consultation, said it is high time for the State to seek for higher glory in the NYCN
