The Christian Northern Nigeria Progressive Forum (CNNPF), a pet project of Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Bola Tinubu, CON, and the foremost Christian political interest group in Northern Nigeria, has nominated Rt. Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu, Member Representing Birniwa/Guri/Kiri Kasamma Federal Constituency, for its prestigious Uncommon Leadership Award 2026.

In a letter signed by CNNPF National Chairman, Elder Hon. Ibrahim Gabriel Itodo, the Forum described Rt. Hon. Aliyu as “the strongest voice for Christian communities in Jigawa State and a courageous bridge-builder whose interventions in education, water projects, and minority rights have redefined representation.”
Why the Award
The CNNPF National Awards Committee cited Hon. Aliyu’s “exceptional courage in defending marginalized communities, visible commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and proven ability to unite Christians and Muslims for peace and development” as grounds for the nomination.
2027 Strategic Partnership
CNNPF also announced it is seeking a formal partnership with Hon. Aliyu ahead of its Nationwide Sensitization Tour of Northern States for President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election.
“Jigawa State is critical to our mission,” said Elder Itodo. “With Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu as our Chief Political Adviser in Jigawa, CNNPF will mobilize over 50,000 Christian votes for President Tinubu and Governor Umar Namadi in 2027. This is One North, One Nigeria, One President.”
CNNPF is the largest Christian political structure in Northern Nigeria with chapters in all 19 Northern States and the FCT. The Forum’s mandate is to mainstream Northern Christians into national politics and consolidate support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
