CHRISTIAN NORTHERN NIGERIA PROGRESSIVE FORUM CALLS FOR PEACE IN ACCORD PARTY, RECOGNIZES DR. GBENGA HASHIM AS ACCORD PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE.

By Elder Hon. Ibrahim Gabriel Itodo

The attention of the Christian Northern Nigeria Progressive Forum, CNNPF has been drawn to the ongoing internal crisis within the Accord Party regarding the leadership and presidential status of Dr. Gbenga Hashim.

After careful review of the issues and in line with our commitment to justice, fairness, and political stability in Nigeria, we wish to state as follows:

1. The Forum recognizes Dr. Gbenga Hashim as the authentic and duly recognized Presidential Candidate of the Accord Party, in accordance with the Party’s constitution and the resolutions of its lawful organs.
2. We condemn any action or faction that seeks to undermine the unity of the Accord Party or create parallel leadership structures capable of destabilizing the Party ahead of future elections.
3. We call on all members, stakeholders, and leaders of the Accord Party to sheathe their swords and embrace dialogue in the interest of peace, progress, and the collective good of the Party.

The Christian Northern Nigeria Progressive Forum believes that internal democracy and adherence to the rule of law remain the bedrock of any credible political party. We urge the leadership of the Accord Party, under Dr. Gbenga Hashim, to continue to provide purposeful direction that will reposition the Party as a viable alternative for Nigerians.

We further appeal to party faithful across the 19 Northern States and the FCT to remain calm, united, and focused as the leadership works to resolve all grey areas through due process.

We are confident that with unity of purpose, the Accord Party will emerge stronger and better positioned to offer Nigerians quality leadership.

Signed:
Elder Hon. Ibrahim Gabriel Itodo
