CHIEF ONAH TASKS NIGERIANS TO COMPLY STRICTLY WITH NCDC COVID-19 PROTOCOL.

The Chairman of the Abuja International Building materials market, DeiDei Federal Capital Territory (fct), Abuja Chief Onah Raphael, has called on Nigerians to adhere strictly to the national Center for Disease Control ( NCDC ) Covid-19 protocol to check the spread of the deadly pandemic which has claimed many lives since it outbreak last year.
Chief Onah disclosed this to our Correspondent in an exclusive interview in his DeiDei Office.
Chief Onah who reiterated his Commitments and that of the entire traders in the market to help fight the deadly scourge, also promised to enforce compliance on all the traders and customers  to all the  safety measures put in place by the NCDC.
He stressed that, the market has it uniqueness, unlike other markets that is characterized by huge crowd, hence the social distancing rule was already an established phenomenon in the market, that of the washing hands basins and sanitizer has become a culture in the market since the out break of the pandemic last year, he added.
” We have our own internal taskforce who are stationed permanently at the two entrance of the market, who always ensure everyone coming to the market must be masked’.
According to Chief Onah, Nigerians must live with the reality that the pandemic is real and must adhere strictly to the safety measures to contain the spread for the benefit of all in respective of our social status, he noted.
He called on the federal government to step up campaigns and sensitization to enable those who were still living in denials to come to the realization of the fact that the pandemic exist in reality and that all hands must be on deck to collectively fight the deadly pandemic, stressing that the money spent so far by the federal government on the pandemic would have been channelled to other areas crying for urgent attention.
