In line with the commitment of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, to deliver vital urban infrastructure and sustainable public utilities, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Ali Bello, on Friday, inspected the ongoing rehabilitation of Greater Lokoja Water Works.
During the visit, Alhaji Ali Bello inspected key operational sections of the water treatment plant to evaluate the progress achieved by the project team and technical contractors.
He highlighted the administration’s resolve to ensure that potable water supply is fully restored to Lokoja metropolis and its surrounding communities.
The Chief of Staff reiterated the government’s commitment to the delivery of basic social amenities.
Receiving the Chief of Staff and his delegation, the Honourable Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr. Yahaya M. D. Farouk, FNSE, expressed appreciation to the Chief of Staff for the timely visit, saying it was both encouraging and strategic.
Engr. Farouk reiterated the Ministry’s unwavering dedication to meeting the administration’s delivery targets. He reaffirmed that work is proceeding according to the engineering standards and assured the government and the people that the project will be completed within the stipulated timeline.
