The organizer of ILE’YA OMO OKUN Yeye Omoleye Adebanji Aiyelabowo (Yeye Oge of okun land) pays a thank you visit to Chief Akinola Benjamin Fagbemi one of the recipient of OGO OKUN AWARD in the recently concluded ileya Omo Okun festival. The visit was to present his well deserved award and to further appreciate him for his consistent support towards the growth and development of OKUNLAND.
Chief Akinola Benjamin Fagbemi hails from Ekirin Adde Ijumu Local Government of Kogi State and he can be thus far counted as one of the propeller behind the worthwhile progress OKUN is recording today!
However, OGO OKUN AWARD is one of the segment of ILE’YA OMO OKUN set aside to celebrate all industrious, noble sons and daughters of OKUNLAND who have been able to touch lives positively through their various field of endeavors.
No doubt we are blessed with human and materials resources in OKUNLAND and one of the major way of achieving unity of purpose, is our ability and persistent spirit in putting these resources to work and if only we can continue to build shield of value around our culture and tradition the vast potential harness from such process can give a lead to unprecedented development politically and other spheres that need to be affected.
