Frontline aspirant for 2023 Okene/Ogori Magongo House of Representatives seat, Captain Timi Iyela on Friday, visited Senator Salau Ogembe in his Okene residence, to commend him on his effort on how he led the Kogi Central PDP well to the recently held national convention of the PDP.
The flight captain who was as well on consultation visit to the immediate-past Senator of Kogi Central senatorial constituency, took time to inform the Senator about his vision about how Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency can be better developed.
“The APC has in no little way under-developed Okene/Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency. All the gains of the constituency in the days PDP was on the seat of representation, the APC has rolled them back and the constituency has only been in the news for the worse.
“I came to visit my leader in Kogi Central politics, Senator Salau Ogembe. Senator Salau Ogembe is a big name in Kogi Central politics, there is no doubt about that. So it is in order for me to be here today to pay homage to him and to tap into his reservoir of knowledge and experience. I indeed learnt a lot from him today. I came here today to felicitate with him on the success of our recent national convention. I as well used the opportunity to brief him on my plans to transform the lives of our dear people, the good people of Okene/Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency.
“I am on a mission to return our constituency, Okene/Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency, back to the path of glory,” Captain Timi Iyela told newsmen after the visit on Friday, November 5, 2021.
