25 Years Anniversary: Gov Bello Congratulate Emir Of Argungu

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello on Saturday congratulated the Emir of Argungu, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Samaila Mohammed Mera on his 25th years anniversary on the throne of his forefathers.

 

The Governor represented by the Sarkin Yakin GYB2PYB and Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, High Chief Dr. Hon. (Engr.) Abubakar Mohammed Bashir Gegu extolled the leadership prowess of the traditional ruler.

 

The Governor said the Emir of Argungu worth all the accolade in view of his numerous contribution to the development of his host domain, State and country at large.

He prayed God for continued to guide, protect, grant him more wisdom and understanding, sound health, long life and prosperity in order for the Emir of Argungu to continue to provide leadership to his people.

The event had in attendance clerics, Islamic scholars, nationalists, Christian scholars, traditional rulers and representatives of Northern Governors among others.

The occasion also featured historical fishing festival where fishermen across the state explored their talents at the most colorful event.

Global Times Nigeria Report that His Royal Highness, Alhaji Samaila Muhammed Mera, has clocked 25years on the throne of his forefathers. He was appointed on November 4, 1996, after the demise of his father, Emir Muhammadu Mera on October 19, 1996. The late emir reigned for 37 years.

The event brought together some serving and former governors, ministers, politicians and business mogul, both muslim and Christv clerics, entertainers and people from all walks of life.
