Businessman condoles Lokoja people over Maigari, flood


 

A business man and London based chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Momoh Y Obaro has sympathised with people of Lokoja over the rampaging flood disaster and death of the Maigari of Lokoja, HRM Alh. (Dr) Mohammed Kabir Maikrfi III.

 

In a condolence message made available to media men on Friday, Obaro described the twin tragedies as unfortunate and urged the people to heart and look up to Allah for sustenance and comfort.

He said he has been a silent admirer of how the late Monarch ensured peace, unity and fairness in his domain throughout his about three decades on the throne, noting that his death is great loss to the state in particular and the country at large.

“Allah gives and only he can take. I urge the people to console themselves in the knowledge that the Maigari lived a worthy life till a ripe old age. May his soul rest in peace.”

On the rampaging flood in several Local Government Areas and other states, Obaro urged people in areas prone to flood not to hesitate before moving out to safety.

He called on governments at all levels, privileged groups and individuals to rise in support of the victims. “We all must take proactive steps to prevent this annual disaster.” He said.
