
Breaking News: Omodara Foils Crisis at Kabba Junction, Gov. Ododo Lauds Efforts

In a remarkable display of leadership, retired Navy Commander Jerry Omodara, Security Adviser to Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, successfully foiled a crisis at Kabba Junction on September 29th, 2025.
Hundreds of youths had barricaded the Abuja Lokoja Okene road, causing a severe traffic gridlock and altercations between road users and the community. The situation turned violent, with one person severely injured and rushed to the hospital.
Thanks to the swift intervention of Navy Commander Jery Omodara rtd, the crisis was averted. A Kogi State government political appointee, who wished to remain anonymous, alerted Omodara to the situation.
The security adviser promptly spoke with the youth representatives, led by an individual who identified himself as T Boy, and negotiated with them to remove the barricades.
Omodara assured the youths of government attention to their complaints and a lasting solution to their problems, and they eventually cleared the road.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has lauded Commander Omodara’s efforts in maintaining peace and security in Kogi State. Recently, the Governor praised Omodara at Isanlu, Yagba East local government for his role in stamping out kidnapping in the state, saying his efforts have been instrumental in creating a secure environment for citizens.
