BOARD MEMBERS APPLAUD BELLO, RESOLVE TO CONSOLIDATE THE GAINS OF KOGI STATE HEALTH INSURANCE


Members of the board of Kogi health insurance Agency have resolved to consolidate on the achievements the agency has made in previous years.
Rising from its maiden meeting at the agency’s headquarters in Lokoja, the chairman of the Board, Pharm. Arikochunu Suberu said even though the agency is still a baby in its establishment it has made a lot of gains in the health sector through the positive support of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.

 


Pharm Suberu said the agency has so far enrolled over thirty thousand vulnerable persons through the basic health care provision fund (BHCPF) and the vulnerable persons are currently enjoying various free medical services across the two hundred and thirty nine wards in the state.
Similarly, the Board Chairman also said over fourteen thousand vulnerable persons across the state are currently enjoying free medical services through the Bello care programme approved by Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.
Pharm Suberu further said over five hundred political appointees and their dependants which includes their spouse and four biological children less than 18 years have so far been enrolled for the formal sector programme of the agency.He maintained that more political appointees are set to be enrolled for the formal sector programme.
The Board Chairman also said the formal programme for the civil servants will by the grace of God take off early next year.
He thanked Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for the support he has continued to offer to the agency saying the gesture has continue to boost the activities of the agency.
In a welcome remark, the Executive Secretary of the agency Dr Adekunle Aledare applauded Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for his keen interest in the growth of the agency.He declared that the governor had continued to give prompt attention to all the needs of the agency which has consolidated and boosted the activities of the agency.
Dr Aledare thanked the Board Chairman, members of the board and the management team for their cooperation in moving the agency forward.
