The Kogi State Commissioner For Water Resources, Engr Yahaya MD Farouk has described Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo as a man who places so much value on the well-being of the people of Kogi State.
The Commissioner made the disclosure in a statement issued to celebrate the birthday anniversary of Gov. Ododo, added that the Governor can aptly be described as a man with the heart of gold.
“Your Excellency, Your birthday anniversary calls for a moment of reflection. Sir, having worked closely with you, the passion with which you display in putting smiles on the faces of the Kogi people remains unprecedented.
“For us in the Kogi State Ministry of Water Resources, the concern you placed in ensuring that the people of Kogi State get portable drinking water remains immeasurable.
“I’m proud to State that under your leadership that is people oriented, the taps are now beginning to deliver water to the doorsteps of the people having test run the Old Lokoja Water Works that is now functional.
“Words will fail me your Excellency when I juxtaposed your compassion that made you the first Governor to sign the new minimum wage for all workers in the State. This feat has earned you a permanent place in the hearts of Kogi people.
“It is therefore not out of place to say that your Excellency has not only met his campaign promises in all sectors promised the people, the resultant effect is that, the people of Kogi State are Visibly appreciative of your leadership style.
“I therefore want to use this auspicious occasion of your birthday anniversary to pray that the people will continue to benefit from the choice made to overwhelmingly elect you to serve them as their Chief Servant, a position you have actually and excellently done well.
