By Ikhili Ebalu, Benin City

The Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) Worldwide  has warned an ijaw group,Izon Ibe Dragnet, never to abuse the simplicity and hospitality of their Bini host.

The BSM in a statement issued in Benin recently said “the issue of Gelegele,  a community in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State can never be contentious, either in reality or imagination and premonition of anyone”.

According to the statement Signed by BSM Worldwide president, Elder Comrade Curtis Eghosa Ugbo said the “continuous claim that Gelegele is an Ijaw community in Ovia North Local Government (an acclaimed local government that does not exist in Edo State) pre-exposes the real character cum identity of the sponsors of the ijaw agenda of Gelegele.”

“From all indications, the people championing mischief between the ijaws, living in Gelegele, and their bini host nation don’t even live in the community let alone in Benin but benefit from percieved crisis, they are majorly of Delta State extraction operating illegally in Edo State and are known for inciting comments against the Benins.”

“Let it be known that Benin soil is not Ijaw soil. The Izon Ibe Dragnet and their fellow conspirators are just fighting a lost battle. The strength of the Benins is embedded in the saying that the water that produces a shark cannot disappoint the shark in a war with an eagle.”
