BE GUIDED BY THE STANDARD OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES/RULES ON ELECTION SECURITY: CP AYOKU CHARGES OFFICERS OF KOGI COMMAND


 

 

The Commissioner of Police deployed to Kogi Command for the 2023 General Election Duty, CP Yekini A. Ayoku, mni meets Senior Police Officers of the Command today, Wednesday 22nd February 2023 at the M.M. Katsina Conference Hall, State Headquarters, Lokoja.

The Commissioner of Police while briefing the Officers charged all Area Commanders, Tactical and Operational Commanders, Divisional Police Officers as well as other supervisory Officers to enhance National Security and democracy through quality, civil-oriented, and human rights-compliant Police Security service delivery before, during, and after the 2023 General Elections. The CP further tasked Officers to ensure that their conduct is guided by extant laws, rules, and regulations as well as standard norms and practices.

The Commissioner of Police, while disclosing his commitment to work in synergy with other security Commanders to provide adequate security during this election period, urges the good people of the State to feel free to come out and exercise their franchise as adequate security arrangements have been made to ensure a peaceful, secure and credible 2023 General Election.
