Bayelsa APC Gets a Bridge-Builder: Ebikibina Celebrates Chairman Ogoriba, Calls Him Game Changer

The Bayelsa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has found a unifying force in its chairman, *Hon. Warman Weri Ogoriba*, according to the Technical Adviser to the Governor on General Duties, Miriki Ebikibina.
In a birthday tribute released on Thursday, Ebikibina, who also serves as Planning and Strategy Officer of the G.37 Forum of the APC, described Ogoriba as *”a bridge-builder, a game changer and a party chairman par excellence”* whose leadership is repositioning the party for a strong outing in the 2027 general elections.
Ebikibina said Ogoriba’s emergence came at a defining moment for the APC in Bayelsa, when the party needed cohesion, strategy and trust to expand its base.
“His emergence speaks volumes about capacity and capability. At this critical time, Bayelsa APC needed a thorough, disciplined, focused and detribalised leader. We found that in Warman Ogoriba, the Peace Man,” he stated.
He noted that under Ogoriba, the party has shifted from internal wrangling to deliberate efforts at reconciliation, grassroots mobilization and unity across the eight local government areas.
A founding member of the APC in Bayelsa, Ebikibina recalled Ogoriba’s role during the party’s early and most difficult years in the state.
“When we were laying the foundation and navigating the challenges of building the APC in Bayelsa, Hon. Ogoriba was there. He carried the burden with us without seeking the spotlight. Today, he is leading with the same spirit of sacrifice and service,” Ebikibina recalled.
He said the chairman’s reputation as *“The Peace Man”* was earned through years of mediation, dialogue and his ability to bring divergent interests together within the party.
With the 2027 elections on the horizon, Ebikibina said the APC in Bayelsa is gaining new momentum, and Ogoriba’s style of leadership will be central to that push.
“The task before him is onerous. It is about repositioning, reconciliation and strengthening unity at all levels. But I am confident he has the temperament, experience and political will to deliver victory for our party,” he said.
Ebikibina further commended Ogoriba for promoting inclusiveness and ensuring that youth, women and stakeholders across the state have a voice in party affairs.
Ebikibina prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, good health and success for the chairman in the years ahead.
“On behalf of myself, family and political associates, I celebrate a leader, a brother and a patriot. Happy birthday, Hon. Warman Weri Ogoriba. Bayelsa APC is proud of you and confident in your leadership,” the statement concluded.
Hon. Warman Weri Ogoriba, a former member of the House of Representatives, currently leads the APC in Bayelsa State. He assumed office at a time the party is working to consolidate structures and rebrand ahead of the 2027 general elections. His bridge-building approach has been credited with reducing factions and restoring confidence among party members across the state.
