The Bajana of Obajana, Engineer, Dr. Idowu Isenibi has called for collective efforts towards the transformation of the education sector.
Engineer Idowu Isenibi made the call at the tenth Anniversary and Valedictory of Marvellous Academy, Obajana.
The traditional ruler said the task of building sound education required collective efforts in view of the enormous task in the sector.
He however expressed concern over the deplorable condition of public primary schools and urged government to do more to reverse the ugly trend.
The Bajana of Obajana commended the management and staff of Marvellous Academy, Obajana for being a pace setter and appealed for sustained efforts.
The Bajana who described the performances of the pupils as highly impressive, also promised to render necessary assistance to uplift the school.
The Chairman of the Occasion and Chairman, Yagba East Local Government Area, Honourable Abdulrazak Ashiru Ijagbemi praised the Director of the school, Honourable Joseph Olarewaju Elijah for his commitment to educational growth in the area.
The Chairman urged parents to give their children the best education, saying it remains the best legacy to bequeath.
Earlier the Director of Marvellous Academy, Obajana, Hon Joseph Olarewaju Elijah said his vision is to make the school second to none through qualitative teaching and learning.
Hon Joseph Olarewaju Elijah expressed appreciation to God for his love in the last ten years of the school and appealed to everyone and corporate bodies to assist towards realizing the mission and vision of the school.
Goodwill messages were delivered by dignitaries at the occasion while a former Administrator of Yagba East Local Government,Timi Joseph presented a paper on the place of education in the society.
Pupils of the school treated the audience with various cultural display, debate and parade among others.
