Ayegunle Gbede Youth Summit: Hon. Eleta Oluseyi Kelvin Sets the Ball Rolling in the Right Direction

 

Hon. Eleta Oluseyi Kelvin, the Senior Special Assistant on Fraud and Internet Matters to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, is set to organize a youth summit in Ayegunle Gbede, his country home. The event, planned in collaboration with the Member Representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Arc. Salman Idris, will provide a platform for addressing key issues affecting young people in the community and exploring solutions to these challenges.

The summit is scheduled to take place on December 27, 2024, at the Model Primary School, Ayegunle Gbede, starting at 1 PM. It is expected to bring together a diverse group of young individuals to deliberate on pressing matters, share ideas, and discuss actionable plans to improve opportunities for personal and community development.

One of the major focus areas of the summit will be creating a comprehensive database of youths in the community seeking admission into higher institutions. This initiative aims to streamline support for young individuals striving to advance their education. Similarly, the summit will also work on developing a database of unemployed youths, providing valuable insights to better connect them with potential employment opportunities and programs.

In addition, Hon. Eleta Oluseyi Kelvin plans to introduce a scholarship program for vocational skills training. As he seeks to equip young people in the community with practical skills to enable them to pursue sustainable careers and contribute meaningfully to society. This initiative aligns with the vision and aspirations of the people’s Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, who is going beyond mark to position our dear state for proactive developments across the board.

This summit represents a purposeful step toward addressing the concerns of young people in Ayegunle Gbede and empowering them to achieve their aspirations. By collaborating with relevant stakeholders in the community, the event shows a commitment to identifying and implementing strategies that will drive youth development.

The organizers encourage youths in the community to attend this important gathering to contribute their perspectives and ideas for shaping a better future; as they have sets the ball rolling in the right direction.
