Far and wide have they consulted, seamless would be the victory of Ododo/Oyibo’s joint ticket in November 2023. This represents objective and plausible position of Fancy Media Team on the ongoing gubernatorial contest which will officially commence in Kogi State on Wednesday 14th June, 2023.
This is not rocket science but a practical and systematic approach at gaining political power in contemporary society. Ododo and his team seem to be monopolistically at the top of their game. Meditate along with us.
Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) is the irrefutable Kogi State governorship candidate of the largest political party in Africa. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has been on the saddle for the past eight years in Nigeria and seven years in Kogi State with tactile developmental strides. Ordinarily, Alhaji Ododo is supposed to pop champagne and gallantly stroll to bed to rest after his emergence as the candidate of the party because his mentor and boss, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello has laid a firm foundation upon which his victory could easily be actualised. But such could only be the mindset of political neophytes and jesters!
In Kogi State, he consulted far and wide, breaking into the enclaves of oppositions. In consultation, he toured all the Senatorial Districts of the state. He took consultations to Lagos State where he met Kogi State indigenes resident there. As a leader whose heart is not averse or repellant to learning innovative ideas, Alhaji Ododo also engaged in intellectual discussions with the state Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo’Olu on how to boost the already established development template of both states.
Fancy Media Team is convinced that Alhaji Ododo must have taken a leaf from the political sagacity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT). As one of the brains behind the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) prior to 2015 general election, one would think that BAT would invite assorted ‘owambes’ to celebrate his emergence as the presidential candidate of his party in 2022. Hell no! Despite being advanced in age, President Tinubu visited all states of the federation for consultation and campaign. The rest they said, is history. Within two weeks, BAT stamped his authority in some sensitive sectors of our country to the admiration of even his opponents.
BAT did not leverage on the power of incumbency, so also is Ododo not resting on his laurels in the forthcoming governorship election.
Similarly, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman and his team were in Kano and Kaduna States to consult Kogi State indigenes in those states ahead of official commencement of campaign activities. Fancy Media Team had earlier exclusively reported that Alhaji Ododo’s decision to involve all stakeholders in the quest to develop Kogi State precipitated his trip to North – Western states of the country. He had assured them during the meeting that he would be a governor for everyone irrespective of religion and ethnic background.
Fancy Media Team observed that Alhaji Ododo’s worthy and progressive political views are in sharp dichotomy to most political jesters trying to gaslight unsuspecting people of the state. To these characters, election should be conducted in line with tribal affiliations. Their main campaign tactics are spurious ethnic largeness and entitlement mentality of the ownership of Kogi State.
From flagrant disrespect to constituted authority in Kogi State, these latter-day sectional ‘agendaists’ are neck deep in futile ethnic supremacy contest while the tactical Alhaji Ododo and his party wield victorious wands that will be affirmatively sealed in November. They are consumed in bitterness and united in avaricious greed. Each opportunity they have to discuss and chart a course for progress and greatness of Kogi State is wasted on expressing deep hatred for other sections of the state who dare to govern.
The difference is in approach and motive.
While Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman seeks a united Kogi State where everyone has a sense of belonging, others seek ethnic domination for selfish reasons. This ethno-centric ideal does not have a place in modern society and should not be given fertile ground to blossom.
Fancy Media Team therefore call on well-meaning Kogites to join hands and support the candidate of the APC, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) and his Deputy, Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu (JOS) on their historical quest to consolidate on the gains made so far.
It is doable because Kogi State belongs to us all.
