Arch. Bishop Prof. Benjamin Anierobi Emeka Mourns Passing Away of Maigari of Lokoja

The Chairman Governing Council and Proprietor Prime Polytechnic, Gidan Bassa, Arch. Bishop Prof. Benjamin Anierobi Emeka, says Kogi State has lost a man of peace in the Late Maigari of Lokoja, HRH Muhammad Kabir Maikarfi 111, described him as a detribalized Nigerian who is passionate about unity in diversity.

Bishop Emeka while speaking with newsmen after paying a visit to the family of the Late Traditional Ruler in Lokoja, described the loss of the first class traditional ruler as a painful loss not only to the people of Lokoja, but the country as a whole, disclosed that he has maintained a long time relationship with the Late Traditional Ruler that dates back several decades, described him as a good man who would be greatly missed.

While disclosing that he cannot write the success story of his life without the mention of the late traditional ruler, said his contribution to given him a contract when he served as Head of Department in Lokoja, contributed to his financing and successful completion of his university education.

Bishop Emeka disclosed that just like his father who had relationship with the late Maigari’s father, he said he also maintained a relationship with the late Maigari that has remained rewarding, described HRH, Muhammad Kabir Maikarfi as a man who maintained the quality of sincerity and detribalized nature of his own father, said the nation has lost a rare gem and a patriot.

Bishop Emeka says he received the death of the Royal father with shock, mourn the passing away of a Traditional Ruler who values relationship, love people irrespective of tribe and religion, described the Late Traditional Ruler as a man who saw the present and the future.

Bishop Emeka recalled with nostalgia how the late Traditional Ruler travelled all the way to Oba his home town in Anambra State, to attend the conferment of a Traditional title on him, described Late Maigari as a man who values and respect people.

The Clergy man described the deceased as a man who lived a fulfilled life said his wisdom would be greatly missed by the people of Lokoja, described the late traditional ruler as an epitome of peace who should be emulated by his immediate family and the people of Lokoja.

The Chairman, Governing Council, Prime Polytechnic, expressed happiness that under the reign of the Traditional Ruler, Lokoja witnessed astronomical growth in leaps and bounds, described him as a builder of modern Lokoja.

Bishop Emeka explained that the death of the Maigari remains a colossal loss for Kogi State and Nigeria at large, prayed God to grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss, pointing out that the late Traditional Ruler has left a vacuum very difficult to fill in peace building, but consoled the people of Lokoja, the Lokoja LGA Traditional Council and the entire people of Lokoja on the sad demise but to take solace in his positive impacts.
