ARC. SALMAN IDRIS SECONDARY SCHOOL QUIZ COMPETITION: ST. MONICAS COLLEGE EMERGED OVERALL WINNER

 

The final competition of the Arc. Salman Idris Secondary Schools Quiz Competition has been held with St. Monicas College, Kabba emerging as the overall winner.

The quiz competition was organised by the BEBM Exhibition as part of pre-activities lined-up for the 2024 edition of the Kogi Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibitions saw St. Monicas College, Kabba, Kabba-Bunu LGA and Baptist Secondary Commercial School, Iyah-Gbede in Ijumu LGA competing at the finals competition.

 

According to a press statement by the organizers, said the competition was organised to encourage excellence amongst the students in secondary schools and also to recognised the performance of Arc. Salman Idris as member of the Federal House of Representative representing the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.

According to the release by Hon. Monday Anuwe, the Exhibitions and Strategic Programmes Volunteer in the BEBM Exhibitions he was quoted as saying, ‘Arch. Salman Idris was the Kogi Man of the Year of the Kogi But Environment and Building Materials Exhibitions in 2017.

The CEO of the BEBM Exhibitions, Hon. Oladipo Makakese Bayode in a chat with media men shortly after declaring the result in Kabba said consolation prizes were presented to the other Fifteen (15) secondary schools that could not make it to the final of the competition at various centres of the Local Government Areas preliminaries.

The statement while thanking the partnership support of the All Nigeria Congress of Principal of Secondary Schools in the Kabba-Bunu/ Ijumu Federal constituency in making all the competition successful, announced that the star prizes of the quiz competition shall be presented at the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Kogi But Environment and Building Materials Exhibitions on Tuesday 10th December, 2024 at 10:00am in the Conference hall of Idrinana Hotel and Suites, Lokoja by 10:00am.

The organizers of the quiz also thanked Hon. (Barrister) Boluromi Emmanuel Funsho and his entourage for attending the final competition and praised him for the good thoughts he has for Arc. Salman Idris, the member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives.
