I am immensely grateful to the good and dynamic people of Omala State Constituency, my Political Party APC, my Family, Friends, my Coordinators and loyal supporters who so generously contributed their time and effort to our campaign during this very long election session. I want to from the bottom of my heart, thank Almighty Allah, the giver of life, the creator of Heavens and the Earth, the Most Merciful for the special privilege to be alive to see this day and more importantly for the rare privilege of being elected as Member Elect, representing the good and dynamic people of Omala State Constituency, Kogi State House of Assembly.
Our unprecedented and historic victory at the Assembly Poll adjudged as free, fair and credible last Saturday remains a watershed in the anals of Omala Politics since the advent of our nascent democracy since 1999.
The Assembly Election which will continue to remain a reference point in Omala, saw our people irrespective of political affiliation, tribe and religion standing up to competence, capacity and the Unity of Omala people to overwhelmingly across the 11 Wards in our Local Government place on me the privilege to be a servant representative.
Overwhelmed with the show of love by the people of Omala at home and in the diaspora which has culminated into my victory as the Member Elect Omala State Constituency, has once again reinforced my commitment and dedication to offer selfless service in and outside the hallowed chamber of the State Assembly.
Let me once again reassure the people of Omala State Constituency of my resolve not to be discriminatory in my representation. Without over stating the obvious. The All inclusive victory that knows no boundary, is a renewed call to serve whole heartedly the people of Omala within and outside the State Constituency with all my strength, love and renewed dedication.
Let me use this opportunity to call on my opponents on the need to collectively join hands with me in the onerous task of building a virile Omala State Constituency. Permit me to state that in any contest a winner must emerge. I do not therefore see myself as winner in the real sense as many would misconstrue it in local parlance, but as best amongst equals in a contest of brothers to do the needful and be a burden bearer.
The just concluded Assembly Election in Omala remains the only election in our history that would be won in one straight win, devoid of usual violence, leading to destruction of properties and in some instances leading to death. Last Saturday’s election was for the first time a family contest amongst brothers and my emergence, occassioned by long years of selfless service, in community development, human development, with women and Youths empowerment a priority, was the platform that caused the positive change that would no doubt be for the overall benefits of our people.
Let me state that this victory is for all, not for me, not for APC, not for a group of people, but for the generality of the people of Omala State Constituency who are yearning for accelerated development in all areas of their lives through quality legislation. Be rest assured that the confidence reposed on me to be a servant representative would be justified.
This victory that has reverberated across the length and breadth of Omala and beyond would not have been made possible without the support of all. My unflinching appreciation goes to all the opinion moulders, leaders of thoughts, decision makers from all works of life who made it possible.
Specifically, l want to thank His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Governor of Kogi State and the entire leadership of the State and our great Party the All Progressive Congress (APC), particularly the Chairman of Omala LG, Hon. Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh and the Delegates for electing me as the flagbearer and for their commitment to the success of the mandate given to me.
I appreciate all Traditional Leaders, Religious Leaders, Community Leaders and Political Leaders, Youths, Women, Omala Connect in Diaspora, Omala ICON as well as leaders and members of various Trade Unions, Political and non political groups and organizations in Omala State Constituency for electing me in the just concluded election.
I am grateful to the clergy and ulamas for their support and I pray for continued peaceful co-existence of all faith in Omala State Constituency for their selflessness and commitment which was the basis of my victory.
I hereby appreciate person’s with different political views and all who worked against my emergence for doing so within the ambits of legal and constitutional democracy and for ensuring peaceful elections. I make a solemn commitment for quality representation for all.
It is my prayers that the Almighty God, the elevator of man, shall equip me with the wisdom and resources of kinds necessary to be an examplary representative of the people.
I therefore call on all people of Omala State Constituency regardless of age, race, religion, political affiliation e.t.c now that the election is over to co-operate with me for the peace, progress and development of Omala State Constituency.
