COMMUNIQUE OF THE NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA, KOGI STATE CHAPTER

Preamble
The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter holds executive meeting to deliberate pertinent issues of concerns as they affect the council. The meeting is to look into some of the issues happening in the council, especially to the build-up to the upcoming Congress, Inauguration of the Local Chapter and the Kogi Youth Dialogue, Second Edition.
Observation
The meeting observed the following;
1. That the proposed date for the Inauguration of the Local Chapter is fast approaching and much is not insight to bring it to fruition.
2. That the logistics for the local chapters to grace the event from their LGAs is not clear.
3. That there is too much rumour and speculations going about on the proposed state congress.
4. That the appointment of Amb. Oladele John Nihi as a returning officer is a welcome development.
5. That the non availability of the new constitution to the executives is a setback.
Resolution
The meeting resolved on the following:
1. That the appointment of the state congress planning committee be expedited to allow for a smooth and rancour free congress.
2. That all relevant support for a smooth congress before the end of June be given to the returning officer and the state congress planning committee.
3. That the council should explore all means of raising fund to ensure a smooth inauguration of the local chapter.
4. That transportation logistics be made available to cover all local chapter members that will be inaugurated.
5. That state executives should enquire on speculations on the council from the appropriate quarters and not fan it.
6. That payment should be done to the National to produce certified copies of the new constitution of the Council to all executives.
7. That peace and unity of purpose should abide by us all as we approach the state Elective Congress.
