Following the approval of the APC caretaker Extraordinary convention planning committee led by the Governor of Yobe State, Mala Buni Fixing October second to conduct its State congresses in the 36-States of the federation, the incumbent Kogi State caretaker Committee Chairman of the party, Hon. Abdullahi Bello ‘fondingly called dollar’ says he has successfully secured the nod of 99-percent of delegate’s strong trust for another four years mandate to pilot the affairs of the party in the State.
Hon. Bello Who fielded questions from Newsmakers from the side line of the scheduled State Congress of the party in Lokoja on saturday maintained that as a well structured and organised party which had successfully conducted a rancour free ward and Local government congresses it is now in a good stead to hold a hitch free Congress that would be credible, transparent and acceptable to all members.
He observed that the All Progressives Congress under the watch of Governor Yahaya Bello Who is the leader of the party in the State has registered Political fortunes during the period under reviewed .
He identified the State Assemble elections where it won 25/25 members, the Presidential election, the Governorship election and the recently held local government elections which were all overwhelmingly won by APC.
”I will consolidate on the achievements recorded in the last four years ,bringing the bundle of experience acquired to bear to ensure that the party arrive at it political destination’.
‘One of our greatest achievement was the reconciliation of our aggrieved members with the huge support of Governor Yahaya Bello which has made the party a United family”.
Hon.Bello lauded Governor Yahaya Bello for pacifying all the delegates to support his candidature because of the monumental successes recorded during his first term stating that the Governor wants him to consolidate on his numerous achievements.
As agitations are on nationwide by Youth and women rooting for Governor Yahaya Bello to become President in 2023 ,Hon. Bello added that his victory as chairman of the party in the state would endure that he solidify and provide home front backing to his Presidential ambition.
‘The political awareness of Nigerian Youths and Women has made them to take the bull by the horn and taking their destinies in their hands informing their collective decisions to invest in the Governor’s Presidential race”.
The awaiting APC State chairman used the avenue to applaud the Governor for working hard which made it possible for the state to be included as an oil producing state insisting that the inclusion of the State as an oil producing States is a landmark achievement that would go down in history .
Hon. Bello who described his principal ,Governor Yahaya Bello as a thinker,focused ,people’s centered and dogged fighter in attracting human and infrastructural development to his father land said as an insider in the national politics given the mandate as president come 2023 the country and its people would be good for it.
