Nigerians have been urged to inculcate discipline and shun all forms of violence amongst themselves for the survival of democracy and development of the nation.
The State Chairman of the National Youths Caucus of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Alhaji Abdulrahaman Dansebe made the remark while speaking with newsmen on the occasion of the celebration of Democracy Day in Lokoja.
Alhaji Abdulrahaman Dansebe said that democracy has come to stay despite alots of challenges of insecurity, banditary, kindnpping, rubbering , herdsmen and corruption appealed to Nigerians to continue to have faith with the leadership of the country.
The APC National Youths Caucus said the government should take drastic measures that would forestall the incessant killings by herdsmen across some parts of the country.
He pointed out that President Mohammadu Buhari led administration has not really justify the confident repose on him through some pocket of crises witnessed in the recent past.
He Called on Nigerians to forget their political , tribal and religion sentiments and generate ideas for the survival of democracy.
While commending the present administration for trying to combat crimes, stressing that the increase in food commodities needed government attention to reduce the suffering of the masses.
The APC National Youths Caucus Chairman use the occasion to called on the Youths to refrain from crises as government would not fold its
arms to deal with any breakdown of law and order of it’s citizens.
Alhaji Abdulrahaman noted that the recent happening calls for concern, adding that the increase of fire arms in hands of some Nigerians should be taking with seriousness hence the situation would seriously get out of hands.
He urged those agitating for the separation of power in the three goe-political zones to drop their swards and cooperates with governments at all levels for the lasting peace and development of our fatherland
According to him, the leadership of the country should drop their personal interest in any position they found themselves, saying that democracy is for the people, of the people and for the people.
