APC ‘Jittery’ Over ADC’s Rising Tide, Says Zakari., Kogi ADC Chairman Designate

The Chairman Designate of the Kogi State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Tom Zakari, has accused Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of being “jittery” and anxious about the 2027 general elections.
Zakari in an interview with Nation Newspaper, claimed the APC is desperate to create a “sole candidate” scenario, manipulating opposition parties to avoid competition, due to the growing unity and strength of the ADC. “The APC is exhibiting growing anxiety, they don’t want a strong competition,” he said.
He expressed optimism that the ADC will not be intimidated, with the massive support it is enjoying, will win the national election, particularly in Kogi State.
“The plan to cancel credible opposition and make APC the only option won’t be allowed,” Zakari concluded.
