The All Progressives Congress, APC, has Condemned Social media reports of an imaginary meeting where the author attempted to portray the All Progressives Congress (APC) of holding a meeting in Ize- Iyamu house as false.
The party in a statement signed by
Hon. Orobosa Omo-Ojo JP, Former Director Media, APC 2024 Governorship Election Campaign Council said , “The intention of the ghost writer is to inflame the emotions of Nigerians, typically for political reasons.”
Part of the statement reads:
“In the last 24 hours or so, the social media has been awash with concocted bizarre stories of an imaginary meeting where the author attempted to portray the All Progressives Congress (APC) in bad light. This is nothing and the public should take it as a warped sense of humour.
” The poor fictional uncoordinated write-up exposed the author when he mentioned names of persons who were outside the state, as purportedly present at his fictional meeting.
Adding that, This reaction by the APC is necessary only to put the narcissist propagandist out of relevance, and not to give any credence to the hoax social media news.
“That being said, the APC would like to put on record that members of the legal team of our party and the Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, are amongst Nigeria’s best luminaries. We are therefore more than confident in their capability to defend the victory that Edo people willfully gave to the party.
According to Omo_Ojo, ” the rabble-rouser intention of the ghost writer is to inflame the emotions of Nigerians, typically for political reasons.
Warning that, ” the cybercriminals who are using social media to commit illegal activities, including identity theft, data breaches and character assassination know that the long hand of law is already after them and they will not go unpunished, however far they may go. He concluded.
