Anchor International Schools, Lokoja, has set a new academic record with all its Senior Secondary School 3 students recording distinctions and very good grades in the just-released 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE.
In a internal Memo issued by the school, signed by Mr. Daniel,Phd, the School Administrator on behalf of the management on Friday, the Administrator of the school described the feat as unprecedented, attributing it to the collective collaboration of the school, parents and students.
According to the Administrator, the 100% distinction and higher grade record reflects years of investment in academic discipline, quality teaching and a learning environment that prioritizes excellence.
Also speaking, the Proprietress of the school, Mrs. Helen Okpanachi, said the result is a clear justification for the discipline and academic hardwork between the school and its students.
She commended parents for their unwavering support and trust, and pledged that the school would sustain and even surpass the feat in subsequent years.
In a message to parents and guardians, the school management congratulated them on the outstanding performance, noting that it was a testament to God’s faithfulness and the partnership between home and school.
The statement reads in part: “By the grace of God, all our candidates came out with flying colours – recording Distinctions and Very Good grades all through. We sincerely appreciate you, our parents, for your unwavering prayers, support, and trust in Anchor International Schools.”
The management prayed that God will continue to guide the graduating students into greater success in their tertiary education and open doors of opportunities, favour and excellence for them.

In a related development, the School says it has begun the process for admission into the school for the 2026/2027 academic session, urge parents to visit the school opposite Poly Clinic, beside Government House Lokoja for the collection of forms.
