AN OPEN WARNING TO GOVERNOR ODODO: THE PEOPLE OF KOGI STATE WILL NOT FORGIVE YOU IF YOU DARE NOT TO CONTEST AGAIN.
This is an open warning to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State. We, the Kogi Peoples Assembly — the authentic voice of the masses — are compelled to raise our voice with urgency and sincerity.
Your Excellency, do not dare to suggest, hint, or imagine not contesting in the next governorship election. The people of Kogi State will take it as a serious betrayal — one they will neither understand nor forgive.
Under your focused, humble, and people-oriented leadership, Kogi State has experienced a wave of developmental transformation never seen before. Roads have been constructed, hospitals revived, schools rehabilitated, and the civil service system has regained strength and dignity. The economy is on the rise, peace and security have been restored, and your touch has reached every senatorial district without discrimination. These are the marks of a true leader.
This level of delivery is not common. It is rare. It is God-given.
Let it be known across every ward, community, and street of Kogi State: our agreement with the People’s Governor is 8 years — not 4. That agreement was made on the basis of trust, competence, and hope. The people voted for a leader, not a passerby. You owe Kogi State not only continuity but the completion of a vision that has already begun bearing fruit.
Your Excellency, Kogi State is not looking for another governor. You are the governor we need, the one we chose, and the one we must retain.
If you dare not to contest, you will be breaking a covenant of hope. You will be abandoning a mission midstream. The people will feel betrayed — and let it be clear: Kogi people will not forgive you.
This is not the time for humility or silence. It is the time to listen to the people and obey their call.
We celebrate your courage. We salute your performance. We pray that Almighty Allah continues to guide and protect you as you lead Kogi State to greater heights. Ameeeeeeeeeen.
Do not let us down. Do not walk away. Do not break the 8-year agreement.
