Amachi Community Stakeholders Present Newly Coronated Traditional Ruler To Abakaliki Council Chairman

The stakeholders of Amachi Community has presented their newly coronated traditional ruler HRH Eze Boniface Alo Nwokeocha to the executive chairman of Abakaliki Local Government Area Chief Ebere Stephen Nwogba.

Presenting the traditional ruler to the council chairman in his office, the president general of Amachi Development Union (ADU) Engr. Fidelis Okata Mbam informed the council chairman that the coronation of the traditional ruler was done in a peaceful atmosphere and thanked him for his support to the community which made the exercise recorded huge success.

He said the community has been without traditional ruler since 2015 their former Eze joined his ancestors and it was difficult for them to find replacement would be good like the former king, saying they selected and coronated his first son whom they believed would perform beyond his late father.

He assured to work in synergy and ensure peaceful coexistence with the traditional ruler for the growth and development of the Community and called on everyone in the Community to support Eze Nwokeocha and shun act capable of breach of peace as no meaningful development would thrive in the atmosphere of rancour and acrimony.

While wishing the traditional ruler well in his new office, the town union president prayed God to give him more wisdom, good health and longevity of life as he pilots affairs of the Community.

On her part, the Coordinator of Amachi Development Center Hon. Mrs Victoria Ifeoma Mbam expressed joy over the successful coronation of Eze Nwokeocha, describing him as God fearing man who always stand on the side of truth.

He urged the traditional to anchor his reign in God and always carry everybody along in the scheme of things and shun division for a better Amachi Community.

 

In their remarks some of the stakeholders from Amachi Community who pledged their total support including, the former House of Reps member, Hon. Godwin Nwokocha, the Town Union President of Amachi Development Union and the Ward Councillor of Ndiebor Amachi, Hon. Febian Mbam, expressed their happiness that Amachi Community has successfully installed new Eze after nine years of staying without a traditional ruler, following the demise of their former king, Nkashi Nwokocha.

Receiving the new traditional ruler, the executive chairman of Abakaliki Local Government Area High Chief Ebere Stephen Nwogba commended the people of Amachi Community for the peaceful selection and coronation of the traditional ruler. He advised the traditional ruler to toe the path of his late father who was widely known for doing good during his time by justifying the reason why he was chosen to replace his late father by the Community.

He called on the traditional ruler to always stand on the side of truth in respective of the difficult matters could be and shun activities capable of given him bad name in his own interest, Amachi Community and Abakaliki LGA in general.

The Council Boss who advised him to always work with relevant stakeholders so as to ensure absolute peace and orderliness in the community, also promised to liaise with Ebonyi State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters in order to ensure that he gets his staff of office and other entitlements from the state government in due time, while encouraging the people to always give him his deserved respect as their Eze, and to also rally round him so as to excel in his new position

The presentation of the newly coronated Eze to the Executive Chairman, Abakaliki Local Government Council was done in the presence of the Chairman, Izzi Traditional Rulers Council and royal father of Amegu Community, HRH Eze Fidelis Nwonumara, who commended the Chairman for his open door policy and gift of wisdom in piloting the affairs of the people in Abakaliki L.G.A, also congratulated the newly coronated Eze and wished him well as he joined the league of royal fathers in the State.
