Chairman Toto Local Government Council of Nasarawa state, Honourable Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, has appealed to the people of the area not to panic, but be calm and vigilant, despite threat by some suspected Bassa youths to launch an attack on them.
Reacting to a recent Security alert on the planned attack by Bassa Youths, the Council Chairman, described such intention as hollow and efforts in futility.
A statement credited to Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman, Yahaya Idris Toto which was made available to Journalists, Hon. Tashas condemned such evil intention and promised to safeguard the area as the Military, Police and local vigilantes are in high spirit to crush any invasion of the Local Government area.
According to the SSA, “Credible Intelligence has just been received indicating that one Samson Daudu and two others namely; Barrister Yusuf Wodi and Gwatana Kukolo all of Bassa extraction are said to be behind the planned attack.”
The Council Chairman However advised residents to be extra vigilant and report suspicious movements to the relevant authorities.
While Security Agencies continue their surveillance, the residents are also put on alert to avert any untoward security breach in the area either by the bandits or any group that may try to test the will of the people.
The spokesman of the Chairman disclosed that necessary measures are lined up to nip in the bud any action that is capable of raising tension in Toto local government area of the state.
