Mrs Rose D. S. Gyar, the party’s National Treasurer, Hon. Prince N. Duru, the National Organizing Secretary of the Party steps in as Chairman, Secretary respectively
The Allied Peoples’ Movement has announced the suspension of its National Chairman Alh Yusuf Mamman Dantalle and Secretary, Mr. Oyedeji Ayodele Adebayo.
The National officers the statement pointed out where suspended following allegations of misappropriation and diversion of party funds, unconstitutional removal of National officers, inconsistency and inaccurate record keeping as well as for dereliction of duties, misinformation of party members on inappropriate guidelines from INEC.
The Party made its position known in a press statement signed by Malam Sidi Nassar Ali, its National Publicity Secretary, after its National Working Committee Meeting held today in Abuja, announced the constitution of a disciplinary committee to investigate their matter and give the suspended officers opportunity for fair hearing in line with the provisions of the party’s constitution.
The statement announced that Mrs Rose D. S. Gyar, the party’s National Treasurer and Hon. Prince N. Duru, the National Organizing Secretary of the Party are to assume the offices of the National Chairman and National Secretary respectively so as to ensure the smooth implementation of the resolution of the meeting.
Similarly, the party through the statement asked that an apology letter be written the BOT Chairman and Members about the misconduct of the former National Chairman to restore the relationship between the BOT and NWC for the smooth implementation of the resolutions.
The statement in the statement asked that the resolution of the meeting be conveyed to the party’s stakeholders like INEC, IPAC, Security agencies, Members of the Party and the general public for immediate compliance.
The action the party observed was carried out to rescue the party from collapsing as well as to chat a new course towards making the party strong and competitive party.
The Party maintained that while the APM is not in any crisis, took the decision to rescue the party from decay and collapse and to mitigate the risk of deregistration by INEC as well as restore the party back to the aims and aspirations of the founding fathers…. Continue reading
