The Executive Secretary, Office For Disability Affairs and Secretary, Directorate for Persons with Disabilities, Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council, Kogi State Chapter, Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael says the PDP Presidential Flagbearer Alh. Abubakar Atiku has no idea of the country he wants to govern.
Barr. Dare made the disclosure in a statement issued to Newsmen following the statement made by the PDP Presidential Flagbearer that PDP administration failed persons with Disabilities despite the passage of the Persons with Disabilities law.
Reacting, Barr. Dare disclosed that the persons with disabilities law was sponsored by an APC Lawmaker, and passed by a largely dominated APC National Assembly.
The Executive Secretary further disclosed that the bill was signed into law by President Mohammadu Buhari, following which he established a Commission that is headed by Hon. James Lalu.
Barr. Dare pointed out that no government in Nigeria has invested heavily in Persons with Disabilities like the present administration, described the PDP Presidential Flagbearer as lacking in information of the country he wants to govern.
While pointing out that the APC led administration has given persons with disabilities a platform for self sustainability, explained that all advertisement and employment in Nigeria now, including the Military and all Uniform employment, offers PWDs 10% employment quota, said that didn’t happened during the PDP era for sixteen years.
He pointed out that the present administration has made it a point of responsibility to provide training, skills and other sporting and extra curricular activities for PWDs, lamented that the PDP Presidential Flagbearer does not know nor have the information of the country he wants to govern.
Barr. Dare called on the PDP Flagbearer to abreast himself with happenings in the country of the programs and policies in place, described as woeful that the sixteen years administration of PDP did not offer inclusive opportunities for PWDs and to be integrated into governance and the society.
While maintaining that in the country today, all the fourteen states that have domesticated the Persons with Disabilities law in there State’s by establishing commission and agencies are all APC States, concluded by saying that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar goofed and has shown the world his ignorance, assured that come February 2023, he will be outrightly rejected by PWDs and Nigerians in general.
