As Kogi State prepares for a change of baton from Gov. Yahaya Bello to Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, the State Capital is already wearing a new look.
Geemony Kleaners, a household cleaning firm that has been working in the State in the last few years has deployed it men, with the intent to make the Mohammadu Buhari Civic Centre and other landmarks that will host lined up of activities clean.
In the last few days, it has become common to see men of Geemony dressed up in their uniforms and tools cleaning the streets.
A visit to the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre, the venue for the swearing in, and the surrounding areas area near and tidy with the CEO of Geemony assuring that the company will work round the clock before, during and after to make the State capital maintain it status in the last few years as the most cleanest Capital in the North Central.
According to Badamasuiy, CEO Geemony Kleaners,
” We are able to achieve this feat with the support of Gov. Yahaya Bello. He has given us all the needed support to make Lokoja clean”.
” Presently we have deployed more staff across the city capital, procured more waste bins that have been placed on road divides on the streets of Lokoja”.
” Yes in the last two months, Kogi is wearing a new look. We have positioned waste bins on the road divides. You will see them placed to help in effectively collecting waste. But we did intensify our efforts ahead the inauguration ceremony as we are expecting visitors from far and near”.
” Geemony Kleaners is working to ensure that the incoming administration meets a cleaner and neater Kogi State. Our intention is for the incoming administration to inherit a cleaner Kogi State as mandated us by Gov. Bello”.
Presently, Lokoja residents are excited with the development have continued to express their satisfaction with the level of neatness and cleanliness in the State capital, concluding that the administration of Gov Yahaya Bello is finishing well in the aspect of making the State Capital tidy.
