In preparation for the groundbreaking ceremony of five mini LNG plants in Ajaokuta Local Government Area, Kogi State – namely PRIME LNG, NGML/Gasnexus LNG, Assurance LNG, Highland LNG, and Arete LNG – a crucial tripartite meeting was held at the Ajaokuta Secretariat. This meeting brought together representatives of the traditional council, led by Chairman Ajaokuta Local Government Traditional Council HRH Musa Isah Achuja, the Ohi of Ajaokuta, youth groups, and security agencies to deliberate on matters central to the success of this historic event.
The traditional council and security agencies expressed profound gratitude to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his pivotal role in collaborating with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in advancing human development policies. Their efforts have paved the way for significant economic transformation and made this groundbreaking achievement in Ajaokuta a reality.
The security agencies reassured all stakeholders of their readiness to ensure a smooth, secure, and hitch-free event. Similarly, the youth of Ajaokuta pledged their unwavering support for the current administration and committed to being active contributors to the growth and development of the community.
As Chairman of Ajaokuta Local Government, I commended the youth for their steadfastness and urged them, as well as all constituents, to conduct themselves in ways that reflect the good attributes, values, and integrity of the Ajaokuta people. I also emphasized the importance of aligning with government policies that prioritize progress and unity.
To our esteemed traditional rulers, who have been well-supported by this administration, I reiterated the principle that to whom much is given, much is expected. I urged them to play a vital role in ensuring the continued good conduct of their communities.
On behalf of His Excellency, the Governor, I pledged to make myself available and reaffirmed my unwavering commitment to meeting the needs of our people, including the youth. I assured the public of the government’s readiness to work tirelessly toward the betterment of Ajaokuta Local Government Area.
The upcoming groundbreaking ceremony will mark a significant milestone in the economic and social development of our community, and I encourage all stakeholders to join hands in making it a resounding success.
