Ahead of the forthcoming Local Government Election in Kogi State, the All Progressives Congress in Kogi LGA have harvested hundreds of decampees from PDP.
The leader of the decampees Hon. Khalid Usman who is from the same unit and Ward with Hon. Wambai said their defection is because of the leadership style of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
He also said they have tried time without number to defeat APC and Engr. Bashir Gegu in all election said it has always difficult for them.
The decampees said their joining the APC is to further strengthen the victory of the party and to avoid rancour, particularly that the APC administration under the leadership of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo has created an enabling environment for peace and development.
Receiving the decampees, the Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources promised them equal opportunities, welcomed them to the fold of the Progressives.
Hon. Salihu Aliyu, State Deputy Chairman APC, Hon Abubakar Onah, Hon Bala Ette, Hon Ibrahim Saidu, SSA Security lokoja Koto, Councillorship and Chairmanship Aspirants who were all present at the decamping ceremony, described the feat as signaling the death of the PDP in Kogi LGA.
