The empowerment training was a highly impactful two-week training initiative, spearheaded by Hon. Danladi Suleiman Aguye,
Over 200 women and youths were empowered by the member representing Lokoja-Kogi Federal Constituency with expertise in designing and producing leather goods, coupled with substantial start-up packages and financial support.
Chairman of the occasion Engr. Yahaya M. D. Farouk, Kogi State Honourable Commissioner for Water Resources, stressed the importance of self-belief, resilience, and exploring opportunities beyond traditional white-collar jobs.
Hon. Danladi Aguye’s visionary program has instilled hope and skills in the beneficiaries, chosen from across his constituency.
Delivering the keynote address, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area, emphasized the significance of skills acquisition in contemporary Nigeria, urging beneficiaries to maximize this opportunity.
Other dignitaries present included Engr. Abubakar Mohammed Bashir Gegu, Honourable Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, represented by Hon. Dauda Aliyu who also delivered the Commissioners message to the beneficiaries, and Hon. Bature Maikudi, Lokoja Local Government Area APC Party Chairman.
