The National Union of Electricity Employee Kogi State Council (NUEE) has joined it’s other counterparts within the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company franchise ( Niger, Nasarawa, Kogi and FCT councils) on an industrial strike with effects from 12 am today.

The Issues at stakes according to a statement issued by the State Chairman of NUEE, Comr. Segun Medupin include non payment of entitlements such as :
1. Thrift Deductions – 8 months.
2. Pension Remittances – 20 months
3. Remaining Batches of year 2020 productivity Bonus
4. 3rd batch of Bulk Rent to all the workers of Abuja Electricity Distribution company and Electricity workers in Nigeria.
Other issues at stake is (1) Non release of intervention funds by CBN to AEDC as it has been released to other DISCOS. CBN escrow AEDC accounts.

The Statement stated that as it has earlier informed all, the position has not changed. 00:01 hrs of Monday, 6th of December, 2021 is time for the withdrawal of all services in AEDC until our demands are met.
