AEDC August Bill in Kogi is satanic, Fraud, a rip off of citizens – Publisher.
The Publisher, Nigerian Post Newspaper, Mr. Abu Michael, has described the recent August bill by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company given to him as a monumental fraud, described the N33,580.29k August bill for a residential as satanic.
The Publisher described the AEDC as a bad image of what an electricity distribution company should be in Nigeria, said the time for the Kogi State Government to carry out an audit into the activities of the company and it rip off of citizens is now.
He expressed worry that when asked why the sudden increase, said the AEDC officials claimed that the increase is a directive of President Tinubu, called on the President to investigate the accusation by the company in the State.
The Publisher lamented a billing system that shared N34,000 to each residence in Ganaja Village the area where he lives, described the action as daylight robbery.
The Journalist lamented that for a three bedroom residential building, that is not a factory to be charged a bill from the usual N24,000 that he has always complained of to N34,000 smacks of wickedness.
He called on the AEDC to quickly withdraw what he described as satanic and vexatious bill, pointing out that he is ready to go the hog in seeing to the end of the matter.
While pointing out that his efforts to get a prepared meter has been difficult as the AEDC has always claimed non availability of the product, described the recent bill as unacceptable, promised to seek every legal means to seek redress.
While noting that the AEDC has done enough damage over the years with it epileptic supply and outrageous estimated billing method that is anti people, called on AEDC to explain how he consumed N10,000 in 24hours and yet N13,600 in two weeks according to AEDC.
He called out the AEDC to explain the rationale of his being on band BandD at the same time, said the time for citizens to demand accountability from the AEDC is now as the distribution company is intentionally painting the President Tinubu Administration in bad light.
He described the August 2024 bill as unacceptable, called on the National Electricity Regulation Commission to call AEDC to order for the deliberate attempt to strangulate Kogi Citizens.
