ActionAid Nigeria Donates Wheelchair to Wife of Kogi Vanguard Correspondent.


 

ActionAid Nigeria has donated a wheelchair to Damilola Obahopo, wife of the Kogi State Vanguard Correspondent, Boluwaji Obahopo, who was recently involved in a ghastly motor accident.

Recalled that Mr. Boluwaji Obahopo lost five family members in the dasterdly accident that occurred along Kabba Okene road.

Mrs. Obahopo went through a ten hour successful surgery at the Alliance Hospital Abuja, is presently recuperating but needs a wheelchair and to also undergo physiotherapy to be able to get back on her feet.

Speaking with Thenigerianpost after presenting the wheelchair, Mr. Anicetus Atakpu, Resillience Programme Coordinator with ActionAid, Team Lead of the SARVE 11 Project, said the donation is in line with ActionAid policy as a feminist organization that strongly support womanhood.

Mr. Anicetus also added that ActionAid is a humanitarian organization, said the need to assist a strong ally in person of Mr. Boluwaji Obahopo who has supported the SARVE 11 Project over the years after the unfortunate accident became necessary.

Lastly, Anicetus disclosed that ActionAid is an organization that targets the reduction of the sufferings of people in an unfortunate organization, particularly that the accident that occurred was not planned, made the intervention by ActionAid possible.

Speaking on the donation, Boluwaji Obahopo, thanked ActionAid Nigeria for the support, used the Medium to appreciate all those who have been supportive since the unfortunate incident occurred.
